My career as
an announcer started in 2002 as a morning news reader for school. Later I was recognized as an emerging
announcer and participated in numerous events at my school. By the end of 2005, I was appointed as the
president of school media unit.
I have
gained more than 5 years of experience with indoor/outdoor events, marketing
promotions, PA systems and recorded advertisements.
As
a “Writer”
I am also a
known writer and have been writing since my younger years. Searching for a radio announcing job was not
easy but I took my writing skills to a journalist position. I received my first job as a business writer
for Aratuwa Newspaper in 2008. I also
worked as a business writer for Lakbima Newspaper.
I worked as a full time journalist for the Rivira Media Corporation (Pvt) Ltd 2013 January to 2015 October. As a one and only
business journalist of the Rivira Sunday newspaper, I also played the role of
business page editor for Sunday and Thursday editions of the Rivira newspaper.
I am also a
freelance business writer and Sinhala translator for Total PR (Total Media
Direction Pvt. Ltd)
